Leandra Tonweber, PA-C, AE-C

Leandra Tonweber, PA-C, AE-C, is a native of the Rochester, N.Y area. She received her undergraduate degree at the State University of New York at Brockport in 1990. After working several years for an allergy/immunology group in Rochester, N.Y she attended the Rochester Institute of Technology Physician Assistant program and completed her training in 2002. She is board certified as a physician assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (PA-C).

Leandra has been working in Charlotte since 2002 as a Physician Assistant in multiple fields including internal medicine, pediatrics, urgent care and the majority of the time in allergy/immunology.  In 2021 Leandra joined the Allergy and Asthma Network as their lead asthma coach.

Leandra often volunteers her time in the Charlotte community to include the Charlotte Walk for Primary Immunodeficiency (IDF), Mecklenburg County Community Asthma Walk and the Food Allergy Research & Education (FARE) Walk. Leandra has also been actively involved with and volunteered with AAIDA since 2017.
